Comp USA has a refurbished Magellen GPS at a great price. I have no idea how good it is but the price is certainly good.

It would be interesting to know the age of the maps. These are refurb'd
units and are not eligible for a free update.

I found an updated maps/etc on internet...
They are stored in a particular format so that they are compatible with most GPS devices...
Updated mine with lots of diff points/etc..

Only because I was looking on Magellan's site for a deal on a newer unit than we have this morning, I ran across the following link about map updates. It says new and refurd'ed units qualify - maybe only if you get the unit from them direct???

I am gps poor now, got 6. Have 4 for the vehicles. Got Teri one 2 years ago to geocache. Last week I bought her a fancier one. And, this does not count my Streets and Trips, which makes 7.
