A number of the body pads are missing on my 77 pb.

After searching the only info I found as to the thickness is "thin" as opposed to the "thick" early one piece pad.

How thick should they be? I'm considering cutting them from a mud flap from an 18 wheeler, or a rubber mat of similar construction, would these work? Whats left of the originals looks like they might have 3/8"?

The manual also shows what looks like 2 stacked at the bogie. I can't see where this one is.

Thanks guys
