Jim Garmin just called me. He wanted to let everyone know that he purchased Steve Ferguson's coach. Jim is one happy camper. They just arrived home, in Ky, from Steve and Nancy's. Coach drove like a new one. No fuel vapor locking problems or anything. Jim says Steve built a brand new coach and he is happy to own it now. Jim and Marly's coach burned back in the Spring and they have been looking to buy the best coach they could find. Jim says they were successful. Teri and I are really happy that something good came from their bad experience. Fleeing a burning coach is not something I want to try. Anyway, now Steve's showpiece will get good use. Jim does not let his GMC sit, they use it.
Life is sweet when you own the correct GMC

This is my first attempt at communicating on the net. I want to personally thank Steve Ferguson for parting with his beautiful coach. After the tragic loss of our GMC to a fire we just didn't know what we were going to do. We miss our GMC family and have been encouraged to replace our coach. We were told to contact Steve. We were looking for a road ready, reliable coach. Steve's coach is all of that and more...much more. Not only is it mechanically perfect, it is a beautiful coach.
We picked it up on Thursday and drove to Smiths Grove, KY with no problems at all. It drives like a dream. The Onan ran all day like a charm. We were glad he found and fixed the problem before we picked it up, as the trip home would have been very hot without the roof air conditioner.
The trip went well considering the heat and road temperatures. At one fuel stop, the gas boiled out the fill tube when I opened the cap. Fresh gas lowered the temperature so we didn't get a vapor lock.
I appreciate all of the contributions of the GMC netters as I read it daily. I will try to contribute more in the future but I am technically challenged when it comes to participating in group discussions.
Thanks to Steve for getting us on the road again.
Jim, on the road again, Garman.

Congratulations Jim!
Whatever you paid Steve for that coach, you got a smokin' deal. I have had a chance to look that one over pretty thoroughly at rallies and at Steve's home, and it is a beauty. I'm sure you will be very happy with it for a long, long time. Plus, you have extensive photo documentation of the improvements Steve has made on the photo site.

Jim,
You obviously know how to post, so you to join in here you have three choices if you are working the forum:
1 - Choose Reply at the bottom of a message and only what you write will be posted (this looks like what you did).
2 - Choose Quote at the bottom of the message and your reply will be posted with the message you were reading.
3 - To post a message not related to others currently in the form, choose a button labeled New Topic.
If you are reading as e-mail, the same functions are available, but the locations and labels of the buttons may be different - but they are there.
As to joining a discussion, if you have any experience in an area that is being discussed, - Join in per above - anything you have to offer might be assistance to someone out here in cyberland.
If by the same token, you have a experience that might be (even remotely) of interest to others, write it up and post it.
Or, you may have a question, (think you are the first one to come up with this problem in the last 37 years?)
Ask it here. The wealth of available knowledge and experience is truly awesome.
And, as I try to not miss this. It is a paraphrase of a waterman's greeting/blessing of a new boat.
May the Good Lord Bless this coach and all that set forth within her.

Yep, you are exactly right, Chris. I have been in fancier coaches but never one as well built as Steve's. Jim said it was like walking into a brand new coach, and he is right. Also, when Jim called, he could not believe how it drove. He did not realize that his old coach was hard to drive until he bought this coach. All of Steve's vehicles are this way. He buys an El Camino that looks perfect to me. Then he tears out the frontend and rebuilds the entire thing. Next time I show up, it is gone and a new 55 Chevy sits in it's place. I need to park my 65 Mustang at Steve's place for a few days.

Steve, I don't doubt that one bit. And, it would look like it came from the factory with it.
