Gary,
This is nothing new. I have run into this policy several times over the years.

On the west coast where we live, it is probably due to environmental concerns. The main concern is leaking fluids which is more likely to occur on older coaches and can get the park into trouble. They are responsible for all fluids leaked in their facility, not the RV owner and in some cases may have to file a report to the state if a spill occurs. Look around and you will probably see a Hazmat kit on the grounds.

I don't make reservations because of this policy unless it is a place I have stayed before. Usually there is no problem once the clerk sees my GMC and looks to see it isn't leaking any fluids.
Jim

Hey Jim;

This was the second time I had been asked about the age of my
coach. The first time was at the French Camp RV and Golf Park in
French Camp California. They had a 10 year rule also (or something
like that). They took a look at the my coach and said that I could
stay anyway. I think the manager had to check it out first. I think
the 49ers had a rally there last year and I guess they all passed
muster. It's more embarrassing than anything else. They should just
look at you as you're driving in to see if you're eligible to stay in
their park.

Gary,
There are quite a few of us who give the year of the last upgrade as
the year of the coach. Saves a lot of BS and the work campers don't
know, and don't care.

Yeah, don't lie to them, tell them "I don't know what year it's gonna be,
I'm still building it."
