Guys, I am going to look at a set of 2005 chevy dually wheels tonight. they are LTS style, that is why I am looking at used instead of new.
All the posts I have read say they have to be 1980's era wheels. I plan to take my spare and do some measuring of the hub offset, etc to see if they will fit. I will report findings, including part number.
Before I drive the 49 miles across town at rush hour in the wrong direction, can anyone here positively tell me if it is worth my while? the wheels will cost me less than $100 each and I am going with cash. It's only four wheels, but that is a start.

Mike, I corrected it right away, but only the forum users will see the edit. email users will see the 1908 instead of 1980.

Jim, the wheels are alum alcoa's, I have a photo of them. I see you made adapters. I plan to get the model number and check it against what I have found here.
My main concern is he only has 4, and two may not be polished on the outside as is common with dually wheels on the inner pair.

So They turned out to be Eagles, as they were stamped 034. The hole pattern is correct, the hub is about 3/16" larger than the one in the wheel I brought to compare. That is enough for a hub centering adapter. I bought the four for $300, couldn't resist since they were 034/LTS Style, what I want. If I end up not using them, I have a spare, and three spares for anyone else who wants one.
I plan to mount two up this weekend in the front to see if my 65MPH vibration goes away, as I'm convinced it is the crappy wheels and tires I currently have, plus I found a wheel weight on my driveway.

Sir: did you get the mounting bolts with the wheels as they are different? If you did you will not need the centering spacer, If you didn`t they won`t work without them even with a spacer.
Hoping you got them....

Chris, I don't have any numbers handy, but I'm surprised the bolt circle size is the same--maybe so, I'm just surprised.

i had a bad vibration that i couldn't get rid of until i had the tires shaved to true them up. rides great now.

No wheels only. I can get the right bolts and cap from Discount tire...

Chris--as is not unusual, i was wrong on the bolt hole circle--GM stayed with a 6.5 circle on it's 8 lug trucks--I guess I should have know that seeing that I worked on those!!
