What is the best way to empty old gas from tanks?
I do not know how long it has set, I was told 3 months. Gas smells like it is very old.

Three months is not all that old. The fuel should still work fine.
If you want to drain it out then either disconnect the fuel hose from the selector valve and put on a hose to an electric pump and pump the fuel into cans. OR, you can get under the tanks and remove the threaded plug that is in the bottom of each tank.

If you pump it out you will still have perhaps as much as 3 gallons in each tank so you will probably have to remove the plug anyway.

Be careful pumping that you don't get a spark near the fuel.

When taking out the plug you will get a large flow out of the opening so have a large pan there and have buckets or gas cans to catch the fuel.

Emery,
Thanks, I think it much older than that. This gives me a starting point.

How long has anyone stored the newer "fuels" with Stabil? I seem to have no problem with sportscars that have been stored over winter with gasoline that has been treated with Stabil.

Sta-Bil should certainly help, but I think I'd try
to store with 100% gasoline. Regular Sta-Bil is
okay for gasoline, but they now have a formulation
for ethanol poisoned fuel. I don't know how well
that will work.

George,

3 month gas is not old enough to cause problems. For those of use
that store our coaches for winter they sit for 6 month without
problems. Run the engine.
