Day started early, went to Mc donald's for senior coffee ($.60) and to
connect with their free wifi on my netbook.

Had to be at the Union Oil fuel oil plant early, to arrange for some heat
oil (before the 70 day, big oil shutdown). Asked the driver how he liked
his clamshell phone with flip-out key board, (he was texting to his repair
facility in Eugene, to get his truck repaired) and he said he hated it, but
his wife has two different smart phones and loved her blackberry, and the
data connection only cost them $30 extra a month. But they were really
lusting new Droids', which will solve all of their connection and data
problems ( oh and he will deliver some heat oil later in the week, after he
gets his truck fixed ;>).

Hurried home to get the digital voltmeter, test light, laptop, duracool, and
gauges, and off to JR's place 1.5 hours away. Arrived to fing the VW guy is
not open on Mondays, but I was able to mark his location on my Garmin Nuvi
so next time I can find him. Did a swing by the docks in Charleston to find
there was a boat selling fresh Tuna (more later)

Toured JR's GMC emporium, where he has 3 GMCs (his and his daughter's) in
his 12 car shop (well maybe 6 car shop with 3 -20' high roll-up doors.
Toured his excellent GMCs' discussing his various Howell systems, combiners,
al radiators, low water sensors, and his daughters beautifully restored
73-23 gmc with the new Jasper engine (his royal has a Patterson engine with
50 miles on it, and getting an EBL(more later). We talked about our simple
flip-phones, and how my grandkids forced me to get a texting plan just to
keep up with them, and how JR canceled his texting just to get some
peace;>). We did some work on the 23 and found a bad fuse holder in the
heater circuit so I went off to the local Marine supply store

I had an organismic experience at the Marine store (and that was just the
prices;>). Found the 30 amp fuse holder immediately, but soon got lost in
the Huge Stainless supply, marine electronics, flotation clothing, mounting
adapters, etc. Tore myself away, stopped by the dock and bought some Fresh
Tuna off the boat to smoke tomorrow).

When I got back to JR's, John Muller (king lurker on GMCnet) was there and
we had a wonderful time talking about his propane GMC, and his work with
liquid vs gas propane conversions (not to mention his HotWheels collection),
how he may go to all propane to get by the current crappy gas, and his work
with his, ebay, propane carburetor for his onan.

Almost got caught up,(has been several years) when George drove in with his
GMC (now 4 in the lot), and introductions all the way around. George and
John had a great time talking about the water injector on John's GMC and how
it was implemented, and how John used to get 14 mpg, with good (the old
days) gas and water injection. All too soon John had to leave, JR finished
the fuse install, and we were off to do the EBL install.
