I been wondering that myself. From what I could find, Norris was a modular home manufacturer in Bean Station Tenn and I believe associated with Midas from Elkhart, Ind. Since Jim Clayton bought Norris, no previous records exist. My Crestmont by Midas has a Norris build sticker.

[GMCnet] Norris??
Like Charles Boyd says, there is very little to document the Norris/Midas/Crestmont connection. I do have an advertisement for a class C Midas showing Midas as a division of Norris. While GMC/Norris coaches became available in 1974 (before Transmodes)it is confusing to see Crestmont & Norris both offered during roughly the same time by the same company. Dave G help us out here, do you have Norris & Crestmonts listed with TZE#s that we might get an idea of the phase out/in or overlap of the 2 models with time?

Susanne's coach is a 23' Avion. Jim's coach is a 23' rear bath Norris.
It has the same holding tank and dump system as a CMG interior coach.

Thanks, I built that. It is the "full tilt buggy" on my gallery page. Yes,
there were some nice features built into the machine. The guy that purchased
the coach fromt the folks I built it for further poured buckets of bucks into
it. Currently at $30K, that does not cover the exterior work done to the
machine.
Originally, it was built up as a tail gate party machine back when the Tmapa Bay
Bucs were actually winning. It was a member of the celibration party when the
Bucs won the Superbowl, I was playing driver on that outing to Tampa. If it
sells for under $100,000 someone will be getting a deal!

Thanks Dave for the Norris/Midas/Crestmont information. I don't see a pattern for building the different models during that period either. Don't understand what their business plan might have been, maybe the answer is, they didn't have one.
There were 1 or 2 Norris 23' at the Zephyrhills, FL GMCMI convention years back. I had always thought they were 1974s, since you show no 74s, maybe they were early 75s. They used the 73-74 style front stripe which may have caused me to assume they were 74s, since this was before I checked every TZE of an odd GMC.

David,
I made very few changes to the exterior of the coach. I added the yellow and black stripes because we are Pittsburgh Steeler and Penquins fans. Other than that, the exterior remains the same as previously modified by Jim Bounds. The changes that I made were primarily on the interior as well mechanical updates to the suspension, wheels, engine/drive train, brakes, etc. There was a lot of interest in the coach on ebay, but most of the bids that were made were retracted once the bidders became aware that it did not have a stove top or a closet. For the low reserve that I had, I don't think adding a propane fired stove or a closet would be very difficult if somebody wanted a roadworthy coach. If I sell it, I will let you know.

It looks really slick except (IMHO) the ladder & rack. Once I removed the
pod and one AC unit
from the roof I no longer needed the ladder. My goal was clear the roof
and rear. Eventually I
was going to eliminate the spare and holder, dropping another 100 lbs and
perhaps picking up another
1 mpg.
I have no doubt you will find a buyer. It is a striking coach.

I don't know if there is clearance to mount a range top
over the fridge and below the microwave, but what about
the counter top to the rear of the sink?
I wish I could afford such a coach! Beautiful!
