G'day,

I reckon there's an way to determine whether or not to loan tools, parts,
manuals, whatever.

1) Take a picture(s) of the item you have been asked to loan out.
2) Post that picture(s) to the photo site.
3) Send a message to the GMCnet and note that Joe Blogs has requested you
loan him a left handed monkey wrench and you've posted a picture of it on
the photo site.
4) Ask if anyone has had any problems with Joe borrowing "stuff."
5) Cc: Joe on all communications.

If you don't get any responses that's a good sign that you should be OK.

Having said that there is no way I would loan out a $300+ bearing tool kit
to someone I didn't know personally. At least not without a $300+ cash
deposit! ;-)

Regards,
Rob M.

PS - This goes double for Downunder, remember Australia used to be a penal
colony! Lots of the current residents still have shackle marks around their
ankles! ;-)
