OEM dash AC selector switch cable to blower box broke [message #92233]

As the title says it's broken. My questions are:
1. When the dash AC switch is on should the blower box lever be pushed forward or backward? I don't remember which way the selector switch moves the lever on the side of the blower box.

2. The cable is no longer connected to the switch. I can't even figure out where it connected. Is there a fix or replacement?
