Thanks to all the GMCers who helped me get my carb fixed. I had problems with it and I think the ignition module as I was getting ready for our first trip of the summer. My wife and I decided to go to Hilton Head for a trial run before we start out to Illinois. On the run down to the beach, had no problems even though the temperatures were in the high 90's. I did get some preignition when I got to the I-95 entrance ramp which was at the hottest part of the day. I only got the preignition when I would start out from a light or going up an entrance ramp to the interstate. Did not have any appearance of fuel starvation or vapor lock. After a fun 4 days at the beach, my wife was thrilled and I filled the tanks with premium for the trip home. No pre ignition problems on the trip home. My wife was so pleased that she has me repapering the walls now planning for the Dequoin GMC convention in September. Wish me luck as we hope to attend our first convention there this year, God willing and the creek don't rise. Again thanks to all for the help and advice.
