A statement: Do as I say, not as I do.
I was told at a GMC seminar to record dates when things were last done on
the coach. Well, I thought they were talking to "Older" people. All 6 of my
tires damaged the fender wells one at a time , yet refused to verify the
date of production as The tires looked like new.
Did I learn my lesson? Where is that note
pad??????????????????????????????????
I heard that some Ornamental were smart. Maybe I'm not one of them.
So, do as I say and check your tire codes and get new ones if they are over
5 years old.
If they still look good, try to sell them to me.

I had two BF Goodrich Commercial T/As put on both the rear bogie
rims. I was talking to the manager at Cascade Tire Center in Salem
(the only place that I could find that had the Commercial T/As in
stock) about how the Michelin tires I had were put on 4 years ago, but
the DOT date code said they were 7 years old. He said that Michelin,
in his experience, does this all of the time. As it turns out, the two
Commercial T/As that I had installed have a date code of 2008. So they
are already 2 years old. I plan to run the crud out them, and should
wear them out before the 5 year limit. Anyway, these tires are very
nice, ride smooth, and look good. Love the ragwalls with the steel
treads. Now I have to find one more so I can get the last Michelin off
of my spare rim. I will say that I got 40k miles out of the Michelin
tires.
