First I'd realized that two copies of the message went out; wifi here, plus
the d... touch pad have me a bit confused.
I started out on Word Master, Word Star, etc., and always thought it was
absurd to have to take a hand from the keyboard to a mouse; Ctrl-A, Ctrl-C,
Ctrl-V and all the rest of the alphabet, as I once knew it, was always much
faster and more convenient. Now they're even eliminating the Alt+
underlined character options. :-( Progress in reverse is always a real
downer.
The multi-touch screen has its nice points, but the software's not really
written for it: Radio buttons aren't large enough or separated enough for
my finger tips, and too many essential selections lie too close to the edge
of the screen to be reachable by fingertip without 'way too many attempts.
Maybe that will improve with the increasing popularity of touch screens.

Hi Ken H,
Tried to post this several times...but forum problems.
That's a nice install. What laptop mount are you using? And where did you get it?
The one I tried didn't work--a waste of money.

Ernie,
Here's the reply I sent on 8 Jul -- into the Great Forum Void, I guess:
Ernie & Charles,
The "laptop stand" is merely an inexpensive articulated TV wall mount with
which I bought off of eBay 1-1/2 years or so ago; I have no idea of brand
nor source. I just picked one that appeared to have hefty arms, multiple
adjustments and thumbscrews at every joint. And that had a
removable-from-mount feature.
The wall base is bolted to a 1"x1" vertical steel tube which I incorporated
into my new dash; the signal lead for the EFI computer come up thru that;
eventually the power will also. A similar vertical tube could easily be
mounted to the sloped floor below the dash with a brace to the top of an
original dash.
The second program displayed besides SA is one of the multiple screens,
called "What's Up Display" which support the EBL Flash upgrade to the EFI
computer. It comes from Dynamic EFI and brings the old 80's technology
computer up near modern standards, with the flexibility to adjust every
parameter the computer controls -- and have immediately available 8 variants
of those parameters. GREAT improvement, even for someone who just wants
their EFI to "work right". Even GREATER for those of us who are compelled
to always tinker, no matter how good things work beforehand.
