Just acquired a 1976 GMC Eagle Classic 26' Motorhome. Can anyone tell me why I cannot find any info on the Eagle Classic? Were these an oddball GMC or did someone change the name. Any info would be appreciated, have other questions to post soon. Thanx,
Mary

Mary,
I am not familiar with an Eagle Classic model. You could post your serial number TZE.... or send it to Dave Greenberg at the GMC registry for information. If your coach is on the registry he may also have prior owner info.

http://GMCmhRegistry.com

Is your GMC a front wheel drive model? That is generally the focus of this forum -- although we do get distracted.

I am not one of the GMC experts in the group, but the Eagle motorhomes I have known were GMC chassis with coaches by LazyDaz(sp?) and American.

If what you got does not look a lot like the outline, we probably can't be a great deal of help. (Not that we would not try.)

If it does, get the TZE number off the title of from the tag in the right (passenger side) front access, come on back.

You sure are in the right place, but I never heard of a model called any kind of Eagle. The TZE (forth character is 1) says it was a GMC or Gemini fit interior, so if it hasn't been seriously reworked inside the DVD set should get you just about all the information that anybody else has (except for some hard won experience).

So, at this point, post questions and somebody will probably answer. There is an amazing amount of knowledge here.

Welcome aboard,

Matt

Is the build label still inside the glove box in front of the
passenger seat? I believe that gives a lot more info.

It was missing on the coach that I bought.

Looks like a prior owner changed the model name. It left the factory as
a Palm Beach.

For the old timers this coach was once owned by Don Wirth.
