Marcel,
Mariposa Fairgrounds is a good choice. It is pretty much the gateway
to Yosemite, inexpensive,

All depends on your route.

If you are driving through the LA area, the shortest way in will be through
Fresno and Oakhurst. At Oakhurst there's a nice-enough RV park:

http://www.highsierrarv.com/yosemite-rv-park-directions.html.

If for some reason you are driving north on 395 through Bishop and Lee
Vining, and coming into the park "the back way" over Tioga Pass, there's a
great little campground about 3 miles west of Lee Vining: Aspen Campground.
No reservations. If you are going this way, don't miss the Whoa Nellie Deli
at the Mobile gas station at the intersection of 395 and 120. 1st class
food, reasonable prices.

For Yosemite, I hope you have reservations. The camp-sites in the Valley
are basically sold-out for the next several months. If you're on FaceBook,
you can see my most recent Yosemite and Sequoia national park pictures,
taken just last month:

Another great stop if you're traveling on 395 (one of my favorite
roads) is theBoulder Creek RV park in Lone Pine.

Just a few miles from the film museum and the Mt Whitney Portal. I
could have spent two weeks there.

Some very good pictures there. I like the "Cloudy afternoon".
