Hi,
Since there was discussion some time ago about Progressive Insurance & agreed value policies, I thought I'd pass on my experience.

Progressivee automatically renewed my agreed value policy ($29,800) recently, but there was a $ 102.00 increase from last year. It's now $ 792.00.

This is in Washington state.

Should you have a good insurance agent, they will get an agreed value for
almost the same as standard.
We enjoy doing appraisals for people as it will help to protect their value
should anything happen.
I receive lot of calls from owners where the insurance co. fell it is
nothing but an old coach and place a value of few thousand dollars.
At Conventions several people will have me glance at their coach so I can do
an appraisal for them. I will be doing some at Du quoinConvention this Fall.

Nick et al,

I received a quote from Blue Sky RV Insurance for $445 a year. Unfortunately
they cannot issue Agreed Value Policies in Texas because one of their
"forms" is not approved by the State of Texas. What that means I have
ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA! At any rate people might want to get a quote from this
company.

I will stay with Progressive for the moment.

Ernie:

This is interesting. We have Progressive Insurance that we renewed in May. We paid $374 with an agreed upon value of $34,000. That was no increase over last years premimum.

Am also in the state of Washington and we had a huge claim 3 years ago, with them paying for a total loss of our previous coach with an agreed upon value.

I wonder why that is for you?

Wow, if that's a yearly premium, I'll need to find out what's up! I felt lucky that they were renewing the agreed value, so I didn't squawk. We've never had a claim on any vehicle. (Jimk also did my appraisal)

Steve,
Yours is in the oven.
I thought it would be quiet today, but was not.
It should be done over the weekend.
Linda can give us a hand.

Yes, Ernie, that is the annual premium. I looked at the policy and we have a multi-policy (we have a motorcycle on it), claim free renewal (no claims this year) and prompt payment (I paid the total premium for a year). Even with all those premium discounts it should not make that much of a difference.

We had Jim K. do our appraisal and they did require that when they took out the policy for an agreed amount after making a claim on the previous coach through them. We were surprised that they even still covered us after paying out the agreed upon amount for the first coach that burned up. And the rates did not even increase for the following year.

I hope they do not hit us with an increase next year.
