Some of you are changing out your 16.5" tires for either new
16.5s or 16s.
If anyone in southern California is getting ready to do
that, I'd be interested in your old 16.5s. I have a 1984 GMC
14' box truck that I drive maybe 100 miles a year that I
should put tires on. Putting close to $1000 worth of tires
on a truck that just sits empty most of the time doesn't
seem like money well spent. I'm not worried about the tire
age thing for this application.
So, if you have 8.75 X 16.5s that hold air, have decent
tread left and are just going to the recycling bin anyways,
let me know off list. I'll give you at least what the
recycling fee is that a tire dealer would charge you, or
name a fair price. And I'll come and pick them up from you
if you're local. I consider "local" to be a radius of
100-150 miles from Riverside.
I'm not in any hurry, but I'd hate to see some otherwise
decent tires get shredded up to be used as fuel for the
cement plant kiln.
Let me know...
Thanks!
