Hi there All.
We are planning on leaving El Paso on or about the 10 th of July for our Alaskan trip in our coach. I have a 1976 Palm Beach heavily remodled.
Will be going through California and stopping at Jim Kanamata's shop and then through Oregon, Washington, then into B.C. the Yukon and then into Alaska with final stop in Homer Alaska to Visit friends to a week or so. Are there any Rallies planned in these area or are there any gmcers we might visit going Through B.C. Let us know we are really looking forward to this trip.

There is a rolling rally in BC in Sept See (http://www.gmc-cascaders.com/rally_schedule.htm) Maybe you could catch it on the way back.

Marcel, we made almost the same trip in 2008, starting from the Santa Rosa
Int'l rally. It was a wonderful trip. We started from WA up the Cassiar
May 16 and found very little traffic and excellent road conditions (had been
warned against taking the Cassiar). We came back on the Cassiar in late
July and it was in horrible condition. We would not do it again.
You will love Alaska. Homer is different, Seward is nice/interesting (take
a Prince William Sound cruise), Valdez is beautiful, a special place, and be
sure to go to Whittier. From Fairbanks, go to Chena Hot Springs and/or the
Arctic Circle. You can buy a coupon book at Carr's or Safeway for $100 (at
least in 2005 and 2008) and it will give you two for one prices to a number
of activities; i.e., the PWS cruise costs about $140 per person--you get two
for one and you've recouped the cost of the coupon book.

We're ready to go again.

You will have a great trip.!

We are just on the other side of the Canadian and US border (Blaine
Washington crossing) should you venture our way.
We have the Roadhouse Grille Restaurant at 1781 King George Blvd. Surrey
and would love to have you stop in as our guests
We could also arrange for a place for you to camp.
