We have a coolant sensor/sender with a spade connector which has broken off.
All the parts interchange versions have a button connector, which won't fit.

So, did all model years have the same sender?? (and thus a PO changed ours)
Or is this another "early coach" variation??

thanks,
Karen

NAPA has the connector if you want change back to the other type. The connector NAPA has will accept both the button or the blade type of sensor.

A spade connector laid on its side will often fit the buttons. ------- =====⊂⊂⊂⊂

Thanks; I think the button connector makes a lot more sense -- less fragile than the spade when you're
wrestling with the nearby fuel filter housing. Judging by the corrosion, our sensor had clearly
been hanging by a thread before we bumped it. I'll see if our local NAPA has it in stock.

thanks,

As Emery stated, the button connector is really a spade connector with a little notch cut in the plastic part to allow it to slide over the button.

As long as you are going to replace it anyway, you might want to get one that makes the gauge read correctly:
<http://gmcmotorhome.info/engine.html#sender>

I understand NAPA has one. Other parts stores should have one also.
