It looks like Tom Hampton has joined the cyber-age! He has a new website and it looks really good.
It's funny but when my coach was at his place he was on the phone with Jim K. Tom promised not to fix everything, and to leave some work for Jim's boys!
It's great that so many of our vendors work together. We all win!
Check out Tom's website <http://grandviewmotorhome.com>

I have not heard of this place. It is not too far from me (about 4 hours)
so I am thinking I would like to pay him a visit.

Alan,

I bought my coach sight-unseen form a fellow in Cleveland and had a friend drive it down to Tom's place. I wanted to have him go through it to make it safe for the drive back to California. Tom was a pleasure to work with and my coach has about 6,000 miles on it since October. Of course I spent a ton of money, but a ton isn't what it used to be. His shop is behind his house in some very beautiful country.

I'd recommend him.

He's got BF Goodrich air bags listed. Are they now making bags to replace
Firestone, or is that a programmer's delusion?

I just called Tom about it, and it's a misprint. He has the Firestone bags.

Tom Hampton will always work with us along with the others like
Coop, Sirum, MGM, Eberheart. We also are aware of difficult customers to
avoid.
It always disappoints me when owners are not willing to join GMC
International and see what is around.
First part of owning a coach is to know who is what and have that info in
the coach.
I receive call in early evenings from people on the East coast requesting
technical assistance. They are aware of our hour difference on the West
coast.

Though there has to be some competition for business, I can't say enough about the shops that cater to our "hobby". It's people like these that help keep our "vintage RVs" rolling along, and I think everyone applauds all there efforts.

Personally, I'm glad to see that there is another midwestern service site available. It's hard to get to either of the Jim's from Chicago (other than by air). I just thank God for UPS and FedEx, they are my friends (though not always cheap ones).

Many Months ago I found a picture gallery where someone showed how he cut 4X4 plastic fence posts to make them into valences for his GMC's blinds.  Now I am ready to do the same but need to find some guidance.

I can cut and drill on my own without guidance but that will mean drilling and abandoning a lot of holes and probably cutting more posts than I can afford (to fix my mistakes).  Can anyone direct me to that site or another source for valance design?
