Left Los Angeles June 4 early, took care of business in palm Springs and by noon was on the road again. This was the first trip with the latest “new motor” a Coop roller cam.
Climbed Chiriaco Summit with a/c on at 65 mph with no overheating on a 90 degree plus day.
Made it to Apache Junction KOA for the night. Bad trip planning. My Google maps route had a route on non-interstates, decided to backtrack to get back on I-10.
The dreaded Vapor Lock started to make an appearance. Boiling in tanks, gas would shoot out upon opening. Had electric fuel pump on, coach still ran, but could not get full power. Drove to Fort Stockton, Texas.

Sandra,
Back home now. Went to Talahassee, then turned around and came back through New Orelans, then up to Hot Springs, hooked up with I-40 west to Lake Eufula in OK, then Amerillo, then Bluewater Park in NM and Williams AZ then home to LA.
Just finished building head shields yesterday. I am going to let MIguel have the fun of spraying the lizardskin and installing the shields on his rack.
