Do you get into those campgrounds?? We took our sportsmobile van to Emma Woods state beach
near Ventura California last week (because the GMC is gutted). The ranger informed
us quite rudely (on the way out, fortunately) that only fully self contained RV's with built in flush toilets
are allowed -- ie, no porta potties. Why they'd care where your black tank is located is beyond me.
If there's a ranger on duty in a CA park, no way you'd "sneak" a 23' GMC into a 19'-only campground.
Hopefully it's different in other states.
I also went to a 23' because some of my favorite campgrounds are designated < 24' rv's. I think
a 26' might be better for full-timing or longer trips though. Can't imagine driving one of those monsters around though.
