I'm also trying to convert to Duracool. I'm assuming the system currently has R12 in it. Checked the pressure at the low pressure side and it was 65 plus pounds with the engine not running. Was just going to bleed of the existing gas but the high pressure got me worried. Does the system have to be running to bleed it off and insert the Duraccol. I have Emery's rundown but am in a quandary as to whether the air conditioner must be running or not to bleed off the old gas and insert the Duracool when there is already pressure in the system. Also 65 plus pounds seems excessive from what I am reading. (My Duracool kit comes with a guage and will only attach to the low pressure side)
