I spotted these valve covers on eBay and got the seller to post a picture of
the inside, they look like the right ones for a GMC.

i changed mine for the correct ones and see no change in oil consumption.

Fred,

It has been noted here many times that incorrect valve covers can cause
excessive oil consumption so I posted the info in case someone needed a
pair.
