Does anyone in my area have a torsion bar unloading tool that they would be willing to loan me for a day? I loaned mine out at the Hamilton work rally but it got a little abused. I left it there so Jim Hamilton could try to improve on the design. I have a place lined up with a pit, but I need the tool.
Thanks.

per the manual, you should always grease the unloader tool before using it. Big loads here.
And, personally, I found it MUCH easier to use if you first jack up the coach. If you're
trying to lift the coach just with the unloader bolt, it's painfully difficult. A lot harder
on the tool too.

You can guess in advance about how many turns you'll need -- I recall the
number is something like 6 full turns per inch of ride height.

just my 2 cents.

Ken,
I have the Jim K. version in Waterford, MI, maybe we could meet in-between somewhere? I'm kind of tied up on Wednesday, but should be pretty flexible the rest of the week. pm me if you want to borrow it.

Craig,

I am glad you answered that, but did you realize that Ken's post is a year and a half old? I don't think he is even still in Michigan. But, it was nice to offer.

Matt

Well, I do now! And, I didn't have my tool 1-1/2 years ago, as I just got it over the summer, so better late than never . . .
