A comment was made on reinforcing the Cad backing plate to prevent the
plate from distorting. Does anyone out there have any info or
pictures on the modification? Any help would be appreciated.

John,
Since our disc system is patterned after the same system, I can quote
you the 2 parts that you need to have to bring it up to strength.
All it is is a rotor spacer and the flat caliper plate
Should not cost you much as we can do a promotional pricing.
Your a good candidate for the Reaction Arm System as you already have
the right brake system.
Let me know off line as I want to discuss this program

John,

Take him up on the offer. I started out with Cadillac backing plates. They
were never as satisfactory as custom caliper mounts. For example, I could
not install NEW brake pads with the Cadillac backing plates because the
caliper was not accurately centered over the disc; I had to move used pads
from the front to the center to avoid grinding new pads to fit.

Plus you avoid any question of warping or reinforcing.

Jim,
Bring a set with you when you come to DuQuoin, enough to do 2 axles.
