Teri and I geocached and yard saled the back roads east of the Mississippi River yesterday and today. Just pulled the GMC and bug into one of the biggest VW shows in the USA. Mid America Motorworks in Effingham is putting this on. Wow 15 bux for 3 nites camping and all the pictures we can take.
Life is good in a GMC motorhome.

I remember we had a 59, in the middle 60,s. No gas gage, "quick, turn that thing on the floor by your toe" as it went sputter, sputter. Also some had no W. washer pump, ran off the spare tire!!,,,,have fun,,,PL

Mid-America used to also sponsor a Porsche show back when they also handled Porsche parts, and it was always a gas! I hope the weather holds up for you so you can enjoy the weekend. I love his garage/showroom/full-sized diorama as well!

Don't you wish you had that much room to play with your toys?

Teri and I were just out cruizing and decided to check out an RV park. Found a GMC and bug parked in there. Turned out to be MAx Kanel from over near Springfield. He and his wife are here for the festivities also.
There are some real hot rod bugs here. Lots of vans and trucks too. Some folks are into all original.
We are lining up now for a run through the countryside.
We have had a few lookers at our coach. Always glad to visit with folks about the GMC.

They are listed in Hemmings Motor News most of the time.

If there are any VW fans out there, check the blog. I loaded it with pictures, twice, today.
We plan to be here when the Hot Rod Power Tour comes thru Monday and may run with them in the GMC for 100 miles. Have not decided for sure yet.
Lots of GMC admirers today.

Oh no, nothing like your's Rob. I just put that picture in there for you. You have a nice one.
I bought new carpet and mats for our's today. Now, the headliner is the only thing we have left.
These folks do like the GMC. Some stop and ask what year, I think they are talking about the bug, nope, the GMC.
