Yes, you can view it with any computer that has a DVD capable drive.

It should work in any DVD drive in a computer it will not play in a standalone DVD player that you connect to a TV.

And the graphics are scanned from originals in grayscale rather than being the unreadable black blotches as in the expensive facsimile copies from That Place In Michigan.

Have been reading mine, finding lots of information that I really did not think would be in the manual. Couple this with Gene Fishers site as well as others here, and I do believe one could build a GMC from scratch. Heh, I put it on both of my laptops. Never know which one I'll take with me.
