The following was compiled by Richard Fisher of the UK who is
contemplating the acquisition of a 23' GMC to import via Port of Bristol.

Read the data and take your arguments both pro & con directly to Richard
whose contact info is below. By all means check out his "America My Home"
video for a moving anthem (music & lyrics composed by Richard himself)

Finally, he is looking for a 23' coach with a with a central kitchen and
shower/toilet, and two bunk beds at the
rear, preferably in the 'U' formation, that can make a double bed too.

Here follows his analysis:

Because of the low mpg of the GMC, I thought I'd work out a table that
gave me the cost of driving 1 mile and 100 miles in the GMC with UK
diesel prices against the USA prices which are a lot lower.

The final outcome is that it costs $25 per 100 miles in the US as against
$68 in the UK
The US is almost two thirds less expensive than the UK
The UK is almost 3 times more expensive than the US.

Your gallon is smaller than ours of course, but I've taken that into
account.
But if I'm right, then anyone in the states who complains about the price
of gas sees that it is 3 times higher in the UK, then it might make
them feel a bit better!

I'm thinking of coming to the states to buy a GMC, exploring the US and
then shipping it back to the UK, but I don't know yet how much the
shipping costs would be....

Best regards,

Richard
