Guys, anyone tried to fit a Hummer H2 Wheel to the GMC?
they are pretty nice 7 spoke wheels that have a pretty deep positive offset due to the modern 4WD.
They are 17 x 8.5. I have a set of four locally for $250 that I may go pick up. Worst case, if they don't fit, I can resell them since they are so cheap.
I figured, 17 is only half an inch larger than the 16.5, but the 8.5 inch width may be the issue. The 17" diameter may clear the brakes just fine.
Don't know the weight rating, tho' I'd assume they are pretty stout since they are OEM and for a Hummer.
They would sure look nice, and would match a Modified front end with a Hummer style Grill too...

Chris,
I have mounted 17" rims to a GMC, they are on the 23' coach on my gallery page named "23 skido". They fit fine and yes, they cleared everything . Does not really stand out as that different.

Don't know about fitting the GMC, but a number of Clark Cortez owners have fitted Hummer H2 wheels to the Clark model without any modification. I've got a Clark and have thought about doing it as well. I recall concern about fitting them to the Cortez Kent model because of concerns about the rim's weight capacity on the heavier Kent model. If so, I'd think the GMC would be out since it's a heavyweight as well. Hummer H2 wheels have an 8 bolt pattern.

You linked to H3 wheels. H3 is smaller and lighter than the H2.

Jim, what is the tire size on those 17's and how wide were the rims?
cjonesgo, those are H3, basically a trailblazer. much smaller.
I'm looking at the H2 wheels. I am going to check them out anyway.

The Hummer H2 uses the GMC/Chevrolet 2500 8 lug hub setup.
The Hummer rims will probably bolt on a GMC motorhome , but will stick out from the rear fenderwells excessively.

Correct. Actually a kluge between the 3/4 Ton C/K trucks, Tahoe, and Suburban, which are all surprisingly different. You wouldn't expect that...
With the offset, I would assume they may not stick out too much.
Need to measure one this weekend. Might test fit one.
