some time back someone mentioned that there was a device available to further suppress the operating signature of the Onan? any link to who sells the device? or is it something that is custom fabricated?

<a device available to further suppress the operating signature of the Onan?>
Gen-turi
Camping World, Amazon.com or lots of internet discussion for do it yourself. I have a friend that didn't go for the large tube with air intake, he just got a metal electrical conduit 10' section and an elbow. He says makes a lot of difference.

Steve I see a case of Sierra Nevada, I'm a fan of their Torpedo version. It's like having a hop farm in every bottle
having seen your setup, I think I oughtta be able to come up with something like that. time to dust off my mig machine any idea what muffler they used? though I might try a slightly different setup to see if I can get the assembly to slide so the Onan can still be opened for service. hmmmm ima gonna have to think up some designes in my head.
how much quieter is it over stock?

Here are several pics of how I did mine. It is whisper quiet and
easy to disconnect for Onan maintenance.

A local muffler shop did the fabrication. Simple stuff for them to do.

No cigar here Larry,
Unless you have a macerator, the plumbing interferes with the OEM
drain system. I'm pretty sure it is a Vega muffler.

mine is still OEM, so I would have to work something diferently. I think though th adition of the second sound suppressor (muffler) should silnce the onan even further, and I think I can maybe sling it next to the stock one and use a 180* pipe bend to get the desired result.
I will take a closer look at it this weekend, though its not likely I will do anything on it for a while. this thread was just to see if it had been or could be done. the answer is obviously yes....
