Well I finally made it home at 1AM Monday morning.
A big thanks needs to go out to the Millers for hosting this fine event.
Lots of people showed up. Some showed up with coaches and some without. The food was plentiful and great.
We adjusted front and rear ride height on multiple coaches. Some were off as much as 3 inches in the rear and 2 inches in the front. We initially set the heights by the book and then fine tuned the adjustments using a set of scales. I think all of them were within 75 pounds side to side when we finished and all heights were less than the 1/4" tolerance.
We replaced one busted pork chop. The replacement was picked up in Indianapolis and delivered to us by another GMCer coming to the rally on Saturday morning. The coach is returning on Tuesday or Wednesday for an alignment at a highly recommended local shop.
We replaced on tie rod end, Fixed one sway bar. We drained and replaced trans fluid on two coaches. I saw the grease gun out and heard it running (air powered) so some of them got greased while on the pit. We replaced one stripped trans drain plug, and worked on the AC system on another.
On Sunday we made one house call to a GMCer whose coach would not start.
It rained on Friday but we had plenty of inside space to work and we could put two coaches concurrently on the pit at one time.
I had a great time, learned a lot, and I am tired.
I know I missed some things we did and I'm sure someone will append things I missed.
If you weren't there, you missed a good informal work rally.
Our photographer (guess who) was a no show. He promised to be there next year.
Good night.
