I'm not sure that an electric backup pump for the Hydraboost is all that necessary.  The accumulator will store enough pressure for a few pedal applications and if you lose the PS pump you will also lose power steering.  I'm sure that with no steering you will be stopping very soon (so whatever backup you have for brakes doesn't have to last forever).  The way to test the accumulater is to, before starting the engine, apply the brakes several times and note how many applications you have.  The same thing is true of the vacuum brake booster.  Now, if the backup pump could back up both the steering and the brake, that would be a different story.

Randy, I have one on my GMC and have been considering using a electric
hydraulic pump off of a tow trailer as a back-up as the GMC with the
electric vacuum pump.

Need to Ken Henderson to get back to this subject.
