Currently, my 73 has an air gauge, indicator light and toggle switch mounted to a piece of plastic sticking out of the crack where the dash pad connects to the dash. This is the little area to the left of the dash. The piece of flat plastic is broken. Looking at it, you can tell it didn't grow there and was added by the PO. I'd like to mount the gauge and an illuminated toggle switch in the panel directly to the left of the driver's seat. I can see a few screws up by the window and some on the bottom of the panel. I've removed those, but there still seems to be something holding it tight at the front of the panel near the dash and something behind the driver's seat. It's quite brittle so I've avoided yanking on it.

Does anyone have experience with this panel's removal that they can share?

Thanks in advance.
