Hello list,
I've enjoyed reading and learning so much so quickly. We're getting
pretty close now.
Our family is getting ready to start our GMC journey and we're planning
out the project to figure out how we'll do it. Granted, we know there
will be surprises and we're making space for that too. There are a lot
of coaches for sale around here right now, but they are all very
different. None of them have exactly what we want but all of them look
like they could be made to work with some effort and budget.
One was dirt cheap, but they're not charging extra for the dirt. It's
totally stock and everything is there, but used up and parked for a
while. A good candidate for a period refurb, maybe. I was afraid to
start it.
Some have young running gear, upgrades like wheels, spares, and new
appliances but terrible interior modifications.
Others have perfect interiors and good appliances and otherwise great
condition but have been parked for two years and need a few upgrades to
get on the road.
Another is a bit newer and more expensive, looks nice with some more
modern reconfiguration but that removed some of the stock interior
features we like. It also has a roof leak, needs airbag system work and
the fridge isn't exactly what we want.
It puts me a position where I'm making lists and figuring out what
things cost to try to come up with a plan to create our ride from what's
available.
There are so many great resources online that sometimes it's difficult
to find things. None of the coaches we're looking at have tires younger
than 5 years but is there comprehensive list I should use to determine
what else needs to be done at the 5-year mark?
Thanks for you help and knowledge,
Desmond, Laura, and Zoe

btw: Not surprised to see how many other ham radio callsigns are out
here. 73 de KC6VHG!
