The vacuum breaker on our Thetford Aqua Magic toilet is leaking water onto the floor when the foot valve is depressed and water is run into the toilet bowl.

We took the Vacuum Breaker assembly out and apart and all that is wrong is that the valve head, a small rubber washer, has severely wrinkled and can't seat.

Complete Vacuum Breaker assemblies are available at $45, a wasteful way to replace a ten cent rubber washer.

Has anyone found a way to get a replacement washer for the valve head?

Thanks,

The valve and washer are available separately. Just ask for that part at a good RV store. They ought to be able to help you. It was a very common problem. There were 2 different valves, so make sure you get the correct one. Hope this helps, Jim

A good RV parts store will have the valve head with washer for under $5. Very common problem.
