We left Friday afternoon from home in San Jose to Fresno State for the
GMC 49ers May rally.
Got down the hill, went by the post office and gas station to fill up
with diesel.
Drove south on 101 to Gilroy, then took 152 east to 99 south to Fresno.
Doing 62-65 and maintaining that speed, mostly slow lane driving but
occasionally passing a truck or two.
My cruise control is not working yet, so it sucks.
Climbed the 152 Pacheco pass in second gear at a steady 32mph.
Once in the valley, at 65, engine was reving 1800 rpms, tranny temp
140 degrees, final drive the same at 140. Water temp around 200/205.
We arrived at Fresno State around 4:30 pm, around three hours after we
left home.
Had a great time at the school with the 49er gang. Our son graduated
from Fresno State so he paid us a visit Friday night and Saturday
morning.
This morning we left Fresno State at 9:30am, just after breakfast and
arrived home at 12:30pm.
For the third time, I had to use my van to pull the motorhome up to
the driveway.
My wife drove the coach while I drove the van.
Eventually I’m hoping that the motorhome will make on its own.
