Stumbled on this engine rebuilder while searching (still) for a hood / bonnet for my series 1 jaguar e type.
Question does anybody know of this companies work (how good)stuffhttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250415232081
The price they are charging for 455 and if they are any good it would be worth the GMC repair shops to do a deal and use their engines.
You guys can check this out and I am sure that those out there in the know will let us know why this companies prices are so low as the parts list they show that they use look to be good.

MY thoughts: You get what you pay for.
Harbor freight and Buffalo tools vs. Craftsman, Kobalt, Snap On.
I would only put a low cost rebuild in a under stressed engine to be sold. JWIWD

The cam was the first one Jim came up with.
I understand he now has a better cam combo.

The shop I used was in Bend Oregon the engine was sent to Motor Works in
Spokane WA

Good pricing, probably keep the costs down since they are a "Production" shop. Volume and low cost south of the border labor pool helps too.
$175 for LTL is about right. You can always save by picking and dropping off at the LTL terminal vice having them come to your house.
