All,

The Onan would not crank, just the starter solenoid would chatter. I found that the battery cable was corroded where it splices at the contactor. I could wiggle the connection and the Onan would crank. Question is why would they make such a splice in lieu of using two cables - one from the battery to the solenoid and one from solenoid to the black terminal?

The cable is corroded and needs to be replaced. Should I replace the cables with two separate cables? The A&P in me says two separate cables!
