Where do the overhead map light and speaker get their power from?

"Tail and dome" is the correct circuit and keep in mind that you have to turn the headlight switch to the left to get power to those lights.

Let me add something here. The +12 volts to the lights is there at the lights all the time. The ground side to the light(s) is supplied by rotating the headlight switch or by the two rocker switches.
