I have to change a CV boot. My maintenance manual (x7725), has
no mention of the boot replacement. Where can I find how to
replace this?

Rich, study the photos and you can do it. You can not clean surface too much, using brake cleaner. I had a so called GMC mechaninc, up in Illinois, replace mine a few years back. He left all of them leaking and would not fix them after I showed them to him. A few other things were leaking too, ha.
Down at Bean Station, with help from some real pros, I got all of them stopped but the passenger side outer. I am telling you, clean, clean, clean, and then do not get any grease on the surfaces. Mine are now single banded and have not leaked in almost 3 years, because they were done right the last time.

Hi,
I had one come off a while back. I cleaned both the boot and the housing
with brake cleaner and then put some Seal-All both on the inside of the boot
and the outside of the housing then used a single band and it seems to be
holding up well.
Thanks
