I'm testing my vacuum supply & my booster using a Mityvac hand vacuum pump. The check valve & hose test OK, but I can't draw a vacuum on the booster. Is the hand vacuum pump big enough to draw any kind of vacuum on the booster if it is OK? I can't run the engine right now until I get a radiator...

Richard,

IIRC the Mityvac pumps a pretty small amount with each squeeze, that booster
is pretty big. You might just wind up with RSI trying to pump it down!

Then again there might be a hole in the booster diaphragm!

Can you rig up something using your house vacuum in combination with the
Mityvac?

You could buy one of these from Harbor Freight for $15.00 and use your air
compressor.
