Anyone tried these Pulsar Pulse Spark Plugs? There is a cap in them that apparantly discharges two sparks during the combustion cycle. The ad in the magazine states it sparks sooner, but howitknow to pulse ahead of the spark pulse from the distributor?

Jeez Chris, it's simple!

The Pulsar Pulse Spark Plugs have ESP!

Electronic Sensory Perception! ;-)

Sorry I couldn't resist!

Before I'd fork out for these I'd want to see a dyno run.

Chris,

Did your read the review at:
<http://www.carbibles.com/productreviews_pulstar.html>
That could save you some money that you can otherwise pour into the GMC.

In years of contract dyno lab work, we saw lots of magic spark plugs and other snake oil. This is is just another one.

Great one is go to their own website and try to make sense of all that is there. (Hint - there isn't anything substantial)

I just saw the ad in a car mag. I don't give the company's own website any credibility as they are not going to say it sucks.

From what I understand they are good for a couple extra hp probably due to the hotter spark and faster advancing flame front which will help the combustion process peak a tad sooner.

Keep in mind that for a set of 8 of those plugs you could buy a MSD 6AL ignition box and have a true multiple spark ignition rather then just a plug which amplifies a singe spark a little bit. If pulse star ever gets down to a reasonable price like maybe $5 a plug then it might not be a bad choice for a hotter plug. But at current price you would be better served spending the money on an MSD box...

I always liked AC plugs in GM vehicles. Call me funny but that's what the engineers used when they designed it and made their final tweaks. Duh.
