Are the front and rear fuel quantity senders interchangeable (at least for troubleshooting)?

Does anyone have the approximate lengths and sizes of the fuel hose necessary to replace everything from the tank to the engine driven pump?

Last Summer when I dropped the tanks I had one gauge not working. I checked and found they were both good and the same. The connection to the rear tank had gone bad. I clean both and reinstalled them and they both worked. I know they were the same. I bought a bunch on hose is all I can remember.

Randy, If you are going to replace all the hoses while you have the tanks down consider using steel brake line where possible. I made up pieces for on top of the tanks and then ran a full lenght one down the frame rail to the front wheel area. Had to bend it to fit but much better than all that fuel hose, especially out here with all the heat. I have pictures somewhere if you are interested in seeing them. Hope this helps, Jim

There it is! I knew I saw this somewhere. Thanks.

I do think that if I used steel brake hose, I'd have to wrap it in rubber or firesleeve to help insulate it.

Maybe it's not so bad a job that I won't mind replacing the rubber lines every 10-15 years or so.
