Got a GMC'er down with carb or ignition problems. Says it idles fine, but chugs, pops and no power. Replaced fuel filters and rotor.
Ideas, guys??

Did this occur at start up? While driving down the road? Any miles on the engine before it started?
If it happened down the road then a thought to what mine was about to do was the missing ground strap for the ign coil. That is a needed component to prevent arcing in the wiring and subsequent shorting out.
if a carb, was there any trouble starting the engine ie, pumping of the gas pedal?????
a few more details may help....
