Gene,
Great idea, I'm going to have to make one. I'm sure we've all had that uneasy feeling when you see the jack pivot move around as it's going up.
Funny thing the older I get the more careful I am!

I think the more serious you are about your GMC the more careful you
become..after all, a serious head injury or a crushed arm can lay a guy up
and away from his GMC for upwards of a week or more <VBG>

Yes,
Even though I have never seen one collapse, I have started using double jack stands when working under the coach. I had a concrete block collapes when I was a teenager and I just made it out from the under the car. I have not forgotten that almost 50 years later.

Yes,,, and never, ever crawl under a GMC for even a second with out blocking
the bogies (with something solid like made wood blocks).
I have said often , when an air bag blows , or something happens , the GMC
gets lower than a snake's belly. Literally inches from the ground to the
frame.
MrC and I were standing next to his GMC, (up on scissor jacks under the
bogies, when the jack broke), there was no warning , and the GMC was on the
ground --- we had been under there earlier.
Now when I am under the front, I use two jack stands on either side, and a
floor jack under the beam. and try not to go under there ;>)
I don't even put my arm under the rear, with-out blocking the bogies, and I
drive up on ramps.

And he didn't even mention reaching into a rear wheel well! Remember that
with the air bags deflated, there's little to NO room between the tire and
the wheel well over it. And on my coach, the added flares leave little room
between the fiberglass and the tires. That's why I so dislike the air
manifolds for 4-bag systems being in the wheel well -- I don't want to reach
in there to turn the valves. I moved mine to the rear compartments.
Be careful out there! (Whether you're on Hill Street or not -- you can get
the Blues anywhere.)

I have a couple of cutoff railroad ties and cutoff 2X6s that I slide under the rear between the wheels. It can fall less than 1" if a bag were to blow. I also drop the coach on them when I am changing a tire rather than jack it up.
