I have the same question as Paul, so I'll propose a solution and see if it makes sense to anybody. The basic problem is that there are 4 corners, each with its own "height". So I'm thinking I should take out the effect of the rear by jacking the front at exactly the center of the crossmember so it's supported at one spot. Then manually adjust the rear bags so that the coach is level side to side. Trap the air in the bags and then let it back down in the front. Could put slippery stuff under the front tires, but I just drive it back and forth several time to let the suspension relax and the tires seek their natural position. Now the coach can be measured side-to-side to see if the torsion bars need to be adjusted. The truly correct way to do this is to put the coach on 4 scales and balance it so that each front tire has equal weight. The rears will then not be balanced, but that is probably okay. No way to get both fronts and rears to have equal
weight unless the CG is exactly in the center, which it probably isn't.
I think all that makes sense. ?

Ok, I have the same problem that was posted a month or two ago,,,, about to run out of adjustment on the left side but plenty of threads left on the rite. Had trouble getting it to respond to changes though, would jack it up, set 2 stands, istall tool,,make adjustment,,,reverse. Spent 1/2 a day sunday with very poor results. Had the rear set to the proper height and on blocks so it would be safe. Problem was,,,,, the front tires would stick and it would stay very high. So I put two pieces of tough 1/8 inch plastic w/grease between them under each wheel. WOW,,,what a diffrence that made. Totally changes things. With the left a little low I got it adj. to 1/4 degree of camber on each side and 4 d. caster on the rite,,,2 3/4 left. Am going to get a little more on the left and then drive it a couple miles and check it again. Confused on the adj. screws though???? Any thoughts,,,,{double checked,,,bars in corectly,,left and right,,,letters to the rear.
thinking of reversing the le
ft} Thanks,,,,PL

Gary,
An even easier solution to front wheel motion is to park the fronts
on a pair of trash bags. Amazingly slick.
I wish we would have kept a tally on the different coaches that were
4-corner weighed at GMCMI Montgomery. There were sure some startling
differences between L & R fronts that just had to be attributed
toimproper torsion bar adjustment. Most notably on the coaches where
the big differences were between fronts, and opposite side, rear
weights. There are a lot of GMCs out there that have improperly
adjusted suspensions.
I was surprised at how few folks volunteered to have their coaches
weighed. I did mine at GMCWS, Temecula, CA and couldn't get in line
fast enough. Very important service that is sometimes offered at
conventions and rallys.
