G'day,
Here's some photos of repairs I made to the holding tank in Double Trouble
when I was at the COOP.
Donor tank:

Repaired tank:

Here's what / how I did it:
1) Remove all old sealant from crack and holding tank.
2) Using Rotozip increase width of crack to 1/8 inch.
3) Cut doublers from donor tank using Rotozip.
4) Rough up area that the doubler will cover with 40 grit paper.
5) Clean roughed up area with acetone, lacquer thinner, or methyl ethyl
keytone.
6) Fill crack in holding tank with 3M-5200.
7) Spread face of doubler that will contact holding tank with a layer of
3M-5200 3/8 inches thick.
8) Press doubler up against holding tank and attach brace to hold the
doubler to the bottom of the holding tank.
9) Make a wedge and force it in between the bolt that holds the brace to the
frame and the doubler to hold the doubler on the back of the holding tank.
10) Wipe excess 3M-5200 from around doubler.
11) Wait 24 hours for 3M-5200 to cure.

Ken,
The attachment bolts pulled out of my tank.
As suggested br Jim Bounds, I drilled 1/4 inch holes through the flange and
inserted 1/4" SS carriage bolts with sillycone on the heads from the inside
of the tank.
I replaced the "O" rings between the Thetford valve and flanges and coated
them with sillycone. This stopped all the flange leaks. I cut the sewer
pipe off 2" or 3" past the Thetford valve and installed a new Valtera valve
with handle extension and flanges. I left the Thetford valve open and used
the Valtera valve to drain the tank.
Worked fine for years and saved me the cost of a new tank and a new piece
of junk Thetford valve.
As Arch would say "JWID" and worked for me.

When I tried to remove them, they took out some of the plastic flange.
Fortunately, there was enough left to take a Heli-coil. (It was a little
tricky getting the drive tang broken off and out of the hole, but I did it
under the coach with no ramps...

Thanks, Karen, I'd already found your great photo. Problem is, we don't
have a source of the ABS stock locally, nor time to order it. But if no
other idea works out, I may wind up making the flange from Lexan, which I
have, and try to find the right cement to attach the ABS pipe.
