Many, myself included, have installed screens that roll sideways into a
canister. Mine came from Lowes and required some cut down but a number of
on line firms will custom cut them for you. Works like a charm.

Dan Winchester did a nice installation overcoming the issues involved with a center kitchen. (No bulkhead on either side of the door.)
