I have seen several and they ALL have the same 1977 serial number.

Since I have seen only about 7 in 25 years of looking, I consider that "pretty limited"

I presume the 1977 maybe represented the year they were given away.

Well, I was referring to the number as not being a "serial number", as in a
limited edition run. No doubt, however, since few were made, they are rather
"limited". The eBay description is what leads one to think they are part of
a series.

I would agree, 1977 is probably the year they were made.
